Urban Promise Academy
Ms. Leunig and Ms. Lisa's 6th grade class


These portraits are from a 4-week biography unit where students focused on inspirational people and the character traits that enabled these people to overcome personal obstacles. Along with theseTIME magazine covers, these 6th graders wrote thoughtful, descriptive essays about the person they chose.
